Prolaris Utilities<\/h3>\n
Prolaris is a prognostic genomic test for prostate cancer, developed to help healthcare professionals predict the aggressiveness of the tumor.<\/p>\n
Prolaris is indicated for patients who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer and can help them and their doctors answer some important questions:<\/p>\n

- What are the chances of survival from prostate cancer?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Prolaris performs a direct determination of the molecular biology of the patient's prostate cancer, using the biopsy material already collected to make the histopathological diagnosis.<\/p>\n
By measuring the expression levels of genes involved in the proliferation of tumor cells and combining them with clinical parameters such as Gleason score and PSA, Prolaris is able to accurately predict the aggressiveness of the disease.<\/p>\n
Prolaris has been validated in large cohorts of patients in both conservative and definitive management settings. Prolaris helps to decide the best treatment option based on the specifics of the tumor under examination.<\/p>\n
Precise analysis<\/h3>\n
Prolaris allows for precise risk stratification by combining PSA and Gleason with an independent gene expression score based on cell cycle proliferation (called \u201cCCP\u201d).<\/p>\n
Prolaris is the only test with two validated cutoff values for active surveillance* and multimodal treatment** in untreated patients, respectively.<\/p>\n
